Varden

Produksjonen omfatter hovedsaklig malerier i akryl.

ENGLISH:

“She plays with colors, people and topics in cultural and social debates. Large areas tell us something about the time and people. Subtle humor makes you look around on the canvas. She does not want to tell what you will experience, but the titles leads you to a certain extent.” Varden

I grew up in Sandefjord in the music scene around my parents, singing teacher Mary Valen and director Sverre Valen. There was music education for me too, at by Østlandets Conservatory of Music in Oslo. Eventually, however, it is the paint that has been the main occupation, and during a few years I have been lucky enough to mark me as an artist. Most of us thankfully retains something of the child in all of us a lifetime. For me it has meant that I have always seen colors when I hear music. There is no doubt that I am a typical colourist.
The production includes mainly paintings in acrylic. The designs are first and foremost human beings halvfigurative and abstracted and simplified landscapes. Imaginative animal figures also occur frequently, often as observers or commentators to human behavior. Different elements, animals and musical instruments in perfect harmony with human beings, it is also a way to symbolize the differences between individuals. The approach can be interpersonal relationships and reflections, debates, literature mm. I work periodically in various techniques and comment on the culture, society and world events in collages. The humor is often enough to nap more than I in the creative process is aware of myself.
This chapter of my life is a great joy for me, and an overwhelming response is fantastic to experience.
